The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for Scrub / Scout nurses to join the Theatre Unit, with the opportunity to work across both Forster & Mayo Private Hospitals. This is a fast paced and exciting place to work, and the successful candidate will work within a supportive, dynamic team of dedicated nurses and the multidisciplinary team, providing quality, evidence‑based care.
Reporting directly to our Theatre Nurse Unit Manager and Regional Theatre Manager, the Scrub / Scout nurse will work clinically in our Operating Theatres across specialties such as General Surgery, Urology, Dermatology, Colorectal, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, ENT, Maxillofacial, Dental, and Bariatric.
Requirements
* Current registration with APHRA
* Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in Scrub / Scout Nursing
* Sound clinical decision making and problem‑solving skills
* Demonstrated knowledge of advanced patient assessment skills and facilitation of early escalation process where required
* Ability to work flexible hours – shift work, on‑call, and overtime as required
* Self‑motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
* Strong collaborative interpersonal skills with well‑developed verbal and written communication skills
* National Criminal History Record Check
* Current Working with Children Check

Salary & Benefits
If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthe Care hand NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement .
