The Challenge
Due to continued commercial growth, we are recruiting an experienced Data Analyst to join our IT Software team in Brisbane, Australia.
Reporting to the Group Director, Data Analytics & Global Reporting, this will be a highly developmental role working closely with all regions, departments, software development and partners within varied and demanding projects supporting world-class fintech payment solutions for our internal and external customers.
Role & Responsibilities
Building integration and reporting pipelines between Fabric & Snowflake.
Creating a more efficient data collection and analysis process.
Working with, and administrating Management Information Systems daily.
Creating and presenting data graphs, dashboards, and visualisations to stakeholders.
Interaction with all levels of the business from Developers, Managers to C-level.
Completing all assigned Data Analysis/MIS tasks in a timely manner.
Preparation of reports using Snowflake SQL, & Fabric that can be used by internal and external clients.
Support business requirements specifications, in consultation with Business Analysis teams.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience of Data Analytics, Administration, Architecture and Modelling experience preferably in Financial/Fintech environment.
A Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
A Master of Science (MSc) in Data Analytics would be a distinct advantage.
Strong experience in:
Snowflake
Fabric
SQL
Synapse
Python
Data Warehouse Architecture & Design
Experience in solving business and analytical problems using quantitative approaches, data analysis techniques for high volume data computation and processing, and SQL in the financial services industry.
Strong experience of providing clear data visualisations and graphs.
Demonstrated experience of implementing improvements continuously in a dynamic environment.
A background in financial services is preferred, specifically the areas of Payments or Prepaid Cards, but not required.
Ability to work on and prioritise multiple tasks maintaining overview and focus.
A good understanding of full end to end software development life cycle in a Scrum or Agile environment.
Experience of some of the following technologies XML, REST API, JSON, Cloud.
The capacity to conduct data quality control, linkage, and validation.
