The opportunity
The Integrated Planning & Reporting (IP&R;) Framework came into practice in 2009 and changed the way Councils in NSW have reported on their plans for the future, and includes a suite of integrated plans that set out a vision, goal, and strategic actions to achieve.
As our Integrated Planning & Reporting Specialist, you will lead the development, coordination, and continuous improvement of Council’s IP&R; Framework whilst ensuring alignment with both legislative requirements, and strategic priorities organisationally.
Your role will support evidence-based decision making and organisational performance through effective planning, reporting and engagement practices, including developing the 4-year Delivery Plan, and Operational Plan, assisting with the development of the Community Strategic Plan, and continued monitoring across other agreed metrics.
This role will provide direction to a small team, with one direct report.
- This is a permanent opportunity – working full time 35 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement
- Base Salary Range: $93,424 to $109,907 pa based on 35 hours / week + 12% superannuation + $2,464 retention allowance
- You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and promotion of statutory Integrated Planning & Reporting requirements
- Support the progression of effective IP&R; through the provision of advice, support, expertise, and skills to the Senior Leadership Team
- Identify and implement enhancements to the IP&R; process
- Support the Coordinator with broader business planning and service review data
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Management/Business Administration/Project Management, or the Public Sector field with demonstrable relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993
- High level of understanding and experience in developing planning hierarchies including identifying both effectiveness and efficiency performance measures
- Ability to lead and motivate other to cooperate in the achievement of difficult and sometimes conflicting objectives
