An established funds management firm is seeking a Leveraged Finance professional to join its investment team. The role will focus on the origination, structuring, execution, and ongoing management of leveraged lending and private credit investments across a diversified portfolio.
You will work closely with senior investment professionals and portfolio management to assess complex capital structures, underwrite new transactions, and actively manage existing investments across a range of industries.
Key Responsibilities
* Originate, evaluate, and execute leveraged finance transactions including unitranche, senior secured, subordinated, and structured credit facilities
* Perform detailed financial analysis, cash flow modelling, and credit assessments
* Assess leverage, debt capacity, covenant structures, and downside protection
* Support transaction structuring, pricing, documentation, and negotiations with borrowers, sponsors, and advisers
* Prepare investment committee papers and recommendations
* Monitor portfolio investments, including covenant compliance, performance analysis, and risk management
* Engage with private equity sponsors, management teams, and external advisers
* Contribute to portfolio construction, asset allocation, and broader investment strategy
* Assist with due diligence processes and post-investment monitoring
Skills & Experience
* 3+ year' experience (depending on level) in leveraged finance, private credit, investment banking, corporate banking, or funds management
* Strong understanding of leveraged lending structures, capital markets, and credit risk
* Advanced financial modelling and credit analysis skills
* Experience working with private equity sponsors and complex transactions
* High attention to detail with strong commercial judgement
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
