Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Delivering engaging, interactive small group Mathematics lessons for Year 3 to Year 10, aligned to the Australian Curriculum / Victorian Curriculum.
* Creating a collaborative classroom culture where students explain reasoning, work together, and develop strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
* Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing regular feedback, and adapting instruction to address individual learning gaps.
* Building positive relationships with students and communicating clear learning strategies to support improvement.
* Collaborating with fellow teachers and centre staff to share best practices and continuously improve lesson quality and student outcomes.
All teaching and learning materials and a learning device (iPad) will be provided by Myko Education.
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics Education, or a related field (postgraduate qualifications are a plus).
* Experience as a teacher/tutor/educator delivering Mathematics for Year 3 to Year 10).
* Strong Mathematics content knowledge across Year 3–10, including number, algebra, measurement, geometry, statistics and probability (extension content a plus).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
* The ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
* Confidence using educational technology (digital resources, online platforms, interactive teaching tools).
* A valid Victorian Working With Children Check (Employee) (required; candidates may apply if not currently held).
