About the Company
DKO was established in 2000 to create its own vision of architecture and design. Over the last 23 years, the practice has grown exponentially and comprises a multidisciplinary team of more than 250 professionals working across six studios in Australia, New Zealand and South‑East Asia. Our expertise is diverse and runs deep, covering architecture, interiors and landscape architecture for sectors that include single and multi‑residential, hospitality, commercial, institutional, education and government projects, as well as urban design and master‑plans.
The Role
Working on high‑profile WA projects, the experienced Landscape Architect will utilise design and ecology to plan external environments. The role will be pivotal in the experience of living in neighbourhoods, city squares, parks, streets, gardens and green infrastructure.
Duties include
* Preparation of concept documentation (overseeing streetscape concepts, landscape plans)
* Competently compile tender documentation and processes
* Professionally present client proposals and project updates
* Perform Urban Design and Masterplanning tasks
* Be proficient in support to concept and detailed design phases
* Work with the project team to conduct feasibility studies identifying site constraints and opportunities to develop recommendations
* Project planning and contract administration will be a key part of the role
* Develop strong stakeholder relationships
Skills & Experience
* Degree in landscape architecture
* 5 years minimum post‑graduate experience across a range of projects
* AILA registered preferred
* Robust experience in project delivery from concept design to construction administration
* Solid experience and knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
* Proven experience in detailed planting design
* Highly skilled verbal and written communication
* Easily works autonomously as well as collaboratively
* Strong initiative and problem‑solving
