Wellness Carer Team Leader - Residential Care
Catholic Homes is seeking an experienced Wellness Carer Team Leader to join our team at our Ocean Star Residential Aged Care Facility in Bunbury.
This is a part-time role, working two days per week from 08:*******:00.
Ocean Star is our much-loved family friendly residence located on the beachfront along Ocean Drive with ocean views.
Ocean Star is close to the town centre, cafes and amenities.
Key responsibilities
Resident Wellness & Lifestyle Programs: Plans, delivers, and evaluates resident-focused wellness and lifestyle activities (individual and group) in collaboration with allied health and wellness teams, ensuring programs align with residents' preferences.
Event & Volunteer Coordination: Organises special events, bus trips, and fundraising activities, manages volunteer recruitment and supervision, and oversees resources, equipment, and lifestyle areas.
Physiotherapy & Exercise Support: Assists in delivering physiotherapy and exercise programs, observes and reports residents' responses, supports personal care needs, and maintains accurate documentation.
Team Leadership & Communication: Participates in and facilitates meetings, allocates tasks to wellness team members, supports onboarding of new staff, and maintains communication materials like newsletters and notice boards.
Compliance & Training: Adheres to organisational policies and procedures, attends required training sessions and meetings and maintains documentation standards.
Workplace Safety: Promotes and practices workplace health and safety, including hazard reporting, safe manual handling, emergency procedures, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Minimum Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance, or an equivalent qualification in a relevant health or community services discipline.
A Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, Allied Health, or another tertiary qualification in aged care, community services, or health will be highly regarded.
Equivalent demonstrated experience in the allied health or wellness sector may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
Experience
Demonstrated experience working within the aged care sector, with a strong understanding of the needs of older adults in a residential care or community setting.
Previous experience in a supervisory or team coordination role, with the ability to support and mentor staff to achieve service delivery outcomes.
Experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating wellness, lifestyle, or allied health support programs tailored to individual client needs.

Proven ability to build and maintain respectful and positive relationships with residents, their families, and members of the multi-disciplinary care team.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document and report effectively within a care environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and prioritise competing tasks.
Ability to contribute to team goals and collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) setting.
Competency in the use of electronic documentation systems, with prior experience using icare (Telstra Health) considered advantageous.
