Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to carry out high-quality carpentry and joinery work across various construction and refurbishment projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing tasks with precision and professionalism, ensuring client specifications are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform trade duties on responsive and planned works as per client specifications.
* Read and interpret drawings and specifications to identify required materials.
* Cut, assemble, and shape timber and materials for fit-outs and construction projects.
* Construct and install building structures, doors, cupboards, skirtings, and fittings.
* Assemble prepared wood to form structural frameworks and fittings ready for installation.
* Verify accuracy of work by using levels, surveying equipment, and framing squares.
* Build window frames, doors, staircases, and complete framing of buildings using raw or pre-constructed materials.
* Undertake repairs and refurbishments to existing fittings based on client requirements.
* Plan and execute work using appropriate tools and materials to ensure efficiency and productivity.
* Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
* Proactively suggest improvements and contribute ideas to enhance work processes and business operations.
Requirements
* Minimum 1 years' experience as a carpenter and joiner.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
* Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards and ability to adhere to them.
* Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Trade qualification in Carpentry and/or Joinery preferred.
