NUTS & BOLTS:
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly payroll cycles for a diverse workforce, including office-based and field/operational teams, while ensuring full adherence to Australian employment laws, Modern Awards, Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, and all statutory requirementsTake end-to-end responsibility for payroll platforms and related tools (including established HRIS and time-capture systems), maintaining robust controls, data integrity, and system performanceCoordinate and manage international payroll arrangements delivered via external specialist providersLead and mentor a compact payroll team, setting clear expectations, delivering coaching, performance guidance, and fostering a high-performing, supportive cultureCollaborate closely with HR (People & Culture), Finance, and senior stakeholders to support seamless employee journey processes, payroll-impacting changes, and business projectsHandle all payroll compliance, reporting, reconciliations, and end-of-year obligations – including Single Touch Payroll (STP), superannuation guarantee contributions, state payroll tax,
