Full Time SIL Home Lead - Disability Support
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for supporting and empowering individuals with a disability? Join us as a SIL Home Lead, where you’ll use your expertise to drive participant outcomes, foster independence, and mentor a dedicated team in a dynamic Supported Independent Living environment.
Based in Wallsend or Maitland
Up to 76 hours per fortnight
Mix of hands-on participant support and focused admin time
Ongoing mentoring and leadership development

Supported Independent Living
As a SIL provider, Songbird offers disability accommodation and daily life assistance so that participants can achieve as much independence as possible. We provide 24/7 supported living homes throughout the Hunter region, including Maitland, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Raymond Terrace, Cessnock and beyond!

Do you have?
Demonstrated leadership capability including:
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* A team-focused approach
* Good problem solving capability and attention to detail
* Experience working with participants that require support with both behavioural and medical needs
Industry Requirements:
* A Certificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Support or Aged Care, or be enrolled in your second year of study towards your higher qualification in a relevant field ( required )
* 1 years’ experience within the Disability, Health, and/or Care industry (required) (behaviour support and mental health experience preferred)
* A Current First Aid and CPR Certificate ( required )
* NDIS Worker Screen Check ( required )
* Valid Australian Driver Licence (Red Provisional – minimum) ( required ).
