We work behind the scenes on some of the city's biggest buildings, offering everything from long-term asset management to emergency spot repairs.
We are now expanding our construction division and seeking an experienced Construction Manager – HVAC to lead and manage the HVAC construction business unit.
This is a senior management position responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, driving project delivery performance, guiding site teams, and ensuring all mechanical works are delivered safely, professionally, and within program and budget.
The role will play a key part in shaping the division's ongoing growth and operational excellence.
About the Role
Lead and manage the HVAC construction business unit
Oversee all day-to-day operational and site activities
Drive project delivery outcomes across multiple concurrent projects
Manage and support project managers, supervisors, and site teams
Coordinate subcontractors and ensure high-quality workmanship
Ensure all works are delivered in line with program, budget, and safety expectations
Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key project stakeholders
Provide strategic input into division planning, resourcing, and continuous improvement
Uphold Ambient's standards of professionalism, compliance, and technical excellence
About You
Have extensive experience in a similar senior management position within HVAC/mechanical services
Have a proven track record managing a business unit, including overseeing budgets, financial performance, and staffing
Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and experience developing, mentoring, and growing high-performing teams
Are confident managing multiple projects concurrently while maintaining quality, safety, and program control
Bring solid technical knowledge of mechanical services installations, commissioning, and industry standards
Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Are commercially minded, with experience meeting budget targets, managing procurement, and driving operational efficiency
Operate with a high level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail
