Working in the social model, our united team of talented change-makers is on a mission to make inclusion possible for all Australians.About The RoleWe are looking for Key Workers to deliver interventions to NDIS participants (specifically children aged 0-8) and their families that lead to positive, life-changing outcomes.Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments is essential, as this is the most highly requested time for Key Workers to provide therapy to their participants.As a Key Worker At Everyday Independence, No Two Days Will Be The Same. If You Were Here Last Week, These Are Some Of The Things You May Have DoneWorking in the social model means you’ll work and deliver therapy in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, and community centresAttended a family’s home to conduct their initial appointment, utilizing your assessment and communication skills to get to know them, their child and goalsWorked collaboratively with a kinder teacher at a preschool to support a child to develop their motor skillsCoached parents through finding a school that best suits their young child’s needsWorked collaboratively with a Speech Pathologist and family members to support a child to develop their communication and social skillsBuilt meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)Documented, and billed for, each session through our online participant management systemProvided support for a 5-year-old after school so that they can establish consistent routinesAttended the weekly team meeting in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughsYou’ll have met with your Team Leader and Therapy Mentor to tap into their clinical knowledge and/or supportDropped into an online mentoring session to build knowledge of using Assistive Technology with a participant and some tips to introduce some behavioral support strategiesWho We Are Looking ForAt Everyday Independence, our team thrives on shared values and a collaborative spirit.
