A well‑established commercial contractor specialising in built‑form projects, new builds, and high‑quality fitouts is seeking a motivated QS / Estimator to join their growing team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of estimating but is also eager to broaden their skill set and progress into a Contract Administrator role.
Your new role
Working closely with the Estimating Manager and Project Delivery team, you'll play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting tender submissions, and gaining hands‑on exposure to the full project lifecycle. Key duties will include:
* Preparing cost estimates for commercial new builds and fitout projects
* Assisting with tender submissions, pricing, and documentation
* Conducting quantity take‑offs and analysing subcontractor quotes
* Supporting procurement activities and subcontractor engagement
* Learning and developing CA skills including contract management, variations, and progress claims
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience as a Junior QS or Estimator within the construction industry
* Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
* A genuine interest in progressing into a Contract Administrator role
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, quantity surveying, or a related field
