It is a significant clinical teaching and research site, collaborating closely with the University of Tasmania.A dedicated acute inpatient mental health unit offers 24-hour specialist care in a safe and secure environment. The unit provides three levels of care—lower, medium, and high acuity—supporting a range of programs to ensure the best outcomes for patients and families. Services are delivered by psychiatric consultants, registrars, medical officers, nursing staff, and allied health professionals including psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, and diversional therapists. Community-based mental health teams also support patients who do not require hospital admission.This permanent full-time role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health care. A key focus will be providing comprehensive general adult consultation-liaison services to the mental health short-stay unit, other specialty units, the emergency department, general practitioners, and other service providers concerning assessment and management of mental health disorders.Relocating to Australia?
