 
        
        We are seeking an experienced electrician to join Council's Water Reclamation team.In this role, you will be responsible for responsible for providing electrical expertise, skills and knowledge including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) operation and maintenance to ensure high quality operation and maintenance of Council's sewage infrastructure, ensuring the facilities reflect industry best practice and comply with environmental legislative requirements.Remuneration of $3,087.34 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,704.81 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).
Access to Council's Nine (9) Day Fortnight Arrangement.Training and development opportunities.Generous leave entitlements.Your new role:Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:Electrical maintenance of sewage infrastructure, including but not limited to: Operation and maintenance of electrical, communication and control equipment, Undertake pre and post commissioning activities relevant to Council assets, Undertake troubleshooting of defective assets, communication and control systems and New installations of electrical and control equipment.Maintain and update SCADA/PLC/Telemetry/Hardware/Software/Firmware to ensure efficient and effective operation of sewage treatment plants; sewage pump stations; and flood pump stations.Develop backup and recovery plans, specifications and organisational strategies for SCADA/IT hardware, software and firmware to ensure continuity of operations in the event of system failure.Conduct routine and adhoc audits of RTU and PLC code, ensuring systems are compliant with operating standards and rectifying any issues promptly.Participate in continuous improvement of asset maintenance and replacement.Assist the Sewer & Stormwater Team with the development, implementation and maintenance of project management activities, works programs and asset registers.As the successful applicant, you will have the following:Class C Driver's Licence.General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
