About the role
With the longest established Emergency Department in the state, Barwon Health prides itself on providing safe, quality healthcare to communities within Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, Surf Coast and throughout the entire Southwest region of Victoria.
The Emergency Department at University Hospital Geelong treats close to 84,000 patients per year with 30% of presentations being paediatric via our newly delivered dedicated Children's Emergency Department. With access to all major specialties except Neurosurgery and Transplant Medicine, the variety and acuity of conditions treated ensures a stimulating work environment.
Our geographic location results in high exposure to trauma cases, marine and land based toxinology and medical outreach to more peripheral centres.
