About the role

The Section Supervisor supports farm operations by managing agronomic processes, mentoring staff, ensuring workplace safety, and overseeing orchard administration. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality production, fostering leadership within the team, and ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and hands-on involvement in daily operations.

Primary responsibilities

* Liaise with the Farm Manager, and Agronomy team regarding crop treatments and farm operations
* Ensure the farm operators are trained to safely and efficiently perform their duties, maintaining a collaborative work environment.
* Liaise with operators and maintenance workers to ensure machinery and equipment is maintained to at least a satisfactory level.
* Oversee farming operations including crop planning, crop control, pruning and irrigation management
* Track and manage stock of chemicals and fertilisers
* Maxmise production quality through effective pest/disease control, fertigation and nutrition programmes
* Assist with business management by contributing to budgeting, cost control, reporting and ensuring regulatory compliance
* Drive development and continuous improvement through strategic planning, project execution and operational efficiencies

* Ensure all work is compliant with Work Health & Safety policies and procedures

* Complete timely orchard administration duties as required

Skills and Experience

Qualification in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness or similar field, or equivalent experience

Minimum 3 years of proven agricultural experience

Outstanding communication skills

Self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team

Present a professional image at all times
