Overview
Kartar Dhall Pty Ltd t/a Ballina's Indian Kitchen is seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team on a full-time basis. Our restaurant is located in the beautiful coastal town of Ballina, NSW, and is known for its authentic and delicious Indian cuisine. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have a memorable dining experience by preparing high-quality dishes that showcase the flavors and spices of Indian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to our menu and recipes
* Ensure all dishes are cooked and presented to our high standards
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
* Monitor and manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
* Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain consistency in food preparation
* Collaborate with the management team to create new menu items and specials
* Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
* Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines
* Continuously strive to improve and maintain the quality of food and service provided to our customers
Requirements
* Minimum of 12 months ofProven experience as a Cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment
* In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
* Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Strong communication and leadership abilities
* Attention to detail and passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
* Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications are a plus
We offer a competitive salary of $75,000 to $80,000 per year, plus superannuation, for the right candidate.
