Community Officer – Volunteers and Grants

The Hills Shire Council is seeking a Community Officer who will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to effectively support the community and Council in administering grants and delivering community-based projects to support volunteers and volunteering opportunities in the LGA.

What this role looks like:
1. Administer S355 Committees, including recruitment of members, and the collection and distribution of minutes and correspondence.
2. Manage databases for Community Development, ensuring the accuracy and currency of information, e.g., Community Volunteer database and contact lists.
3. Collaborate with the Community Development team to identify and engage with services to increase participation in the grants program and enhance the quality and quantity of applications.
4. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the grants program.
5. Coordinate the Council's Volunteer program.
What are we seeking in our new team member:
* Driver's Licence (Class C) - NSW
* Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Certificate III qualification
