Primary Teacher
Kalamunda Christian School (KCS), nestled in the beautiful suburb of Walliston, has been shaping young lives for over 40 years. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join our team in a full‐time, ongoing position commencing 20 July 2026. You will inspire and equip primary students through engaging, faith‐centered, and hands‐on learning, using explicit and inquiry‐based teaching, differentiated instruction, and effective classroom management.

Responsibilities
* Teach across primary years with a strong understanding of the WA curriculum and assessment outline.
* Design and implement explicit and inquiry‐based learning programmes that promote curiosity, problem‐solving, and deep understanding.
* Use student data and assessments to inform planning, monitor progress, and provide timely feedback to students and families.
* Differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs and implement effective classroom management strategies.
* Communicate with students, parents, and colleagues, ensuring the integration of Christian values and consistent support.
* Contribute to the broader life of the school through camps, excursions, events, co‐curricular programmes, and other duties as required.
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrate personal faith in Jesus Christ, regularly attend a Christian church, and live in alignment with the association's statement of faith and educational objectives.
* Hold a tertiary qualification in education and meet the national professional standards for teachers.
* Create engaging, supportive, and well‐managed learning environments for primary students.
* Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, collaborating effectively within a team.
* Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet student needs and course objectives, while fostering quality relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community.
Desirable
* Experience in teaching within a primary setting.
* Experience integrating inquiry‐based learning to deepen student engagement and understanding.
* The ability to confidently express one's Christian faith and values in public settings, including assemblies and school‐wide events.
