Are you a seasoned construction leader with a passion for delivering complex mining infrastructure safely, on time, and to spec? IMS Workforce is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to oversee the execution of major capital projects across a high-impact mining portfolio.
In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage large-scale construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery within scope and budget. You will collaborate closely with diverse teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive project objectives and uphold industry standards.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Project Manager or Portfolio Director, you'll lead a multidisciplinary construction team and manage contractors across EPC, EPCM, D&C, and TK delivery models. Your remit spans HSE, cost, schedule, quality, and compliance—from early works through to commissioning and handover.
This is a client-side leadership role with strategic oversight of Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI), Process Infrastructure, and Large-Scale Earthworks projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead planning, execution, and delivery of major construction projects at the facility.
* Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality standards throughout all project phases.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contract managers, and suppliers to optimize resources and timelines.
* Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure seamless progress.
* Provide leadership and support to overcome challenges in a complex operational environment.
About You:
* 20+ years in construction, with 10+ in senior management roles
* Proven experience in mining or heavy industry infrastructure delivery
* Strong knowledge of EPC/EPCM/D&C/TK contracts (client-side preferred)
* Diploma in Construction Management or trade background (BSBWHS414 & BSBWHS411 desirable)
* Exceptional leadership, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Deep understanding of EHS legislation and compliance
