Digital Marketing Manager
Location: North Sydney (Full-Time, Office-Based) Reports to: CEO / Head of Operations
Role Overview
We are partnering with a financial services firm that is building its marketing function in-house and is seeking a hands-on Digital Marketing Manager to own and execute the business's end-to-end content, communication, and growth strategy. This role is responsible for driving lead generation, client engagement, and business communication through high-quality content, effective CRM marketing, and performance-driven campaigns. You will create, execute, analyse, and optimise marketing from the ground up, coordinating external agencies and production partners to scale output and elevate brand quality. This high-accountability, in-office role requires speed, creativity, and strong commercial and analytical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Execution (Primary Focus)
* Own and create all content across email newsletters, social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), SMS campaigns, blog and written content
* Translate live news, deal flow, broker activity, and market updates into relevant, timely content
* Maintain a consistent, high-quality content cadence across all channels
* Ensure all content is commercially driven and aligned with business priorities
CRM & Lifecycle Marketing
* Own all CRM-driven communications including drip sequences, client nurture journeys, and broker communications
* Build and optimise automated workflows to improve lead conversion, client retention, and engagement
* Work closely with the Operations team to ensure accurate execution within systems
* Own digital ad strategy across paid channels (Meta, Google, etc.)
* Develop campaign structures, targeting, messaging, and offers aligned to key lending segments
* Continuously analyse campaign performance across cost per lead, lead quality, and conversion rates
* Identify drop-off points across the funnel and implement improvements to increase conversion
* Test and iterate on creatives, copy, landing pages, and offers to improve ROI
* Work closely with brokers and leadership to refine targeting based on real pipeline outcomes
* Manage and direct external agencies to ensure performance is aligned with commercial objectives
Agency & External Partner Management
* Lead and manage external digital agencies (paid media, SEO) and content production teams
* Provide clear direction on strategy, messaging, and deliverables
* Ensure output quality, consistency, and alignment with Shore's brand and objectives
Brand & Messaging Ownership
* Own Shore's brand voice, tone, and positioning across all channels
* Ensure consistency of messaging across social media, email and CRM communications, paid advertising, website and landing pages
* Translate complex financial concepts and live deal activity into clear, compelling messaging
* Work with external partners to refine and elevate brand execution
* Act as the final point of approval for outbound marketing to ensure quality and alignment
* Continuously evolve messaging based on market conditions, client behaviour, and performance data
* Track and report on key metrics including leads generated, cost per lead, conversion rates (lead - application - settlement), and engagement across CRM and content channels
* Analyse end-to-end funnel performance and identify areas for improvement
* Use data to refine ad strategy, content strategy, and CRM journeys
* Ensure marketing activity is directly aligned with revenue outcomes, not vanity metrics
Key Requirements
* Proven ability to create content hands-on across multiple channels
* Strong understanding of CRM marketing and automation (HubSpot preferred)
* Experience owning and optimising paid media campaigns and conversion funnels
* Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and improve performance
* Ability to manage agencies and external partners effectively
* High level of ownership and accountability
* Ability to operate in a fast-paced, in-office environment
* Experience in mortgage broking, financial services, or property preferred
Work Arrangement
This is a full-time, office-based role in North Sydney. Given the need for real-time collaboration, content creation based on live business activity, and alignment with leadership and brokers, a consistent in-office presence is required. Flexibility can be discussed after 6-12 months once established in the role.
