Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Parts and Accessories Fitter to join our workshop team. The role involves fitting and installing vehicle parts and accessories, performing minor mechanical and electrical work, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
* Installing bull bars, tow bars, lift kits, suspension systems, canopies, roof racks, roof-top tents, snorkels, electrical winches, air lockers, UHF radios, dual battery systems, and other OEM or aftermarket parts, demonstrating expertise in accessory fitting and adaptation
* Removing old or damaged parts and preparing vehicles for installation or repair ensures components are correctly fitted and vehicles remain safe and serviceable.
* Performing basic electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and minor mechanical repairs (e.g., cooling systems, exhaust components, and tyres).
* Conducting inspections, test drives, and final checks ensures installed accessories and components meet safety and compliance standards.
* Assessing vehicles for accessory suitability and customizing fitting methods demonstrates problem-solving and technical proficiency consistent with the occupation.
* Assisting the workshop team with general mechanical tasks, tyre fitting, and wheel balancing supports the broader fitting and accessory work environment.
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop and participating in training ensures high standards of occupational safety and skill transfer within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent experience in vehicle fitting or mechanical work.
* Previous experience as a mechanic, accessories fitter, auto electrics, or panel beater preferred.
* Current NT Driver's Licence.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team and provide good customer service.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, and safety procedures.
Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
