About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team in either a part time or casual capacity.
* Assisting with pre-op joint replacement screening of patients, as well as being an integral team member in our post-surgery day rehabilitation program service. Close communication with the medical team including geriatricians and surgeons, the allied health team and the nursing staff is required.
* The successful candidate will work across a range of inpatient areas including orthopaedic rehabilitation, general reconditioning, acute medical and neurological conditions. Therapy will include self-care re-training, home assessment and modifications, falls prevention and health promotion.
About You
* Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential. New graduates are welcome to apply. Ongoing training, both internally and externally, will be provided to the successful applicant. Participation in Quality Improvement activities is required as well as maintaining up-to-date knowledge through professional development.
* The successful applicant must have:
o Relevant tertiary qualifications
o Full AHPRA registration
o Current driver's license
o A desire to learn and work within a team
o Flexible with hours and days
