Business Development Manager– Food Wholesale (WA)
We are an established and rapidly growing WA-Based food manufacturer and wholesaler, supplying ready-to-eat meals across Western Australia.
We service a wide range of customers including major supermarkets, convenience retail chains, hospitals, school canteens and universities, function events and corporate catering clients.
Our product range includes sushi, poke bowls, rice paper rolls, and ready-to-eat Asian meals, along with grab-and-go meal solutions.
With a strong logistics, reliable supply chains, and a reputation for quality and services, we are seeking to expand further into large catering and corporate food service sectors in WA market.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across Perth and WA.
This role focuses on winning large, high-value customers and small/medium stable order customers.
This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to a commercially driven professional with strong industry relationships and a proven ability to close major accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new, large-scale business opportunities across WA market
Develop and execute a structured business strategy aligned with company's growth objectives
Build strong relationships with decision makers including procurement managers, executive chefs, and operation managers
Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, tenders, proposals, and negotiations
Negotiate pricing, contracts, supply agreements to secure long-term partnerships
Conduct regular customer visits, product presentations, and tastings
Manage and grow existing customer relationships and ensure excellent service levels
Follow up leads and convert opportunities into active customers
Work closely with production, operations, and logistics teams to support smooth supply and delivery
Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities in WA and nationally
About You
Proven experience as a BDM or Senior Sales Manager in food wholesale services, hospitality & catering groups, FMCG
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship building skills
Strong track record of winning new business and large accounts
Existing network within catering company, hospitality groups, contract caterers, or institutional food buyers
Willing and comfortable with face-to-face selling and negotiation
Good understanding of the WA market and willingness to be on the road visiting customers
Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven
Willing to learn and grow in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
