About The Role:
The organisation is seeking an experienced APS6 Program Manager to lead the delivery of a complex, high-profile Commonwealth grants program supporting major economic initiatives across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end management of a Commonwealth grants program
* Coordinate all grant activities using SmartyGrants
* Manage application assessment, establishment, reporting and acquittals
* Develop grant guidance, templates, tools and SOPs
* Provide expert advice on CGRGs, PGPA Act and grants policy
* Draft high-quality briefs, submissions and budget advice for SES
* Monitor grant performance and liaise directly with recipients
* Ensure accurate, timely publication to GrantConnect
* Provide secretariat support to grant evaluation committees
* Maintain records, data integrity and audit-ready documentation
* Build grant capability and promote best-practice governance
* Support broader program, policy and analytical work as required
Required Experience & Skills
* Proven experience managing Australian Government grant programs
* Strong working knowledge of CGRGs, PGPA Act and grants governance
* Demonstrated experience using SmartyGrants
* Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
* High-level attention to detail and sound professional judgement
* Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
* Excellent written communication, including SES and Ministerial briefs
* Experience in international, economic or policy environments (desirable)
* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
