Electrical Estimator – Design & Construct
The Opportunity
In this role, you'll prepare detailed, competitive tenders for commercial and industrial electrical projects ranging from $500K to $10M. You'll work closely with our in-house Design Team, suppliers, engineers, and project stakeholders to develop accurate and professional submissions that support our continued success.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope
* Collaborate with internal designers and external engineers on load demands, cable sizing, and system requirements
* Develop infrastructure layouts, switchboards, Distribution Boards, and final sub-circuit designs
* Ensure compliance with lighting and emergency lighting standards
* Assess project timelines, risks, and client-specific requirements
* Prepare accurate labour, material & equipment pricing using SimPRO, GroundPlan, Bluebeam, AGI‑32, and MS Office
* Obtain competitive supplier and subcontractor quotes
* Work with the Design Manager and ECI Manager to shape tender strategies
* Attend site visits and pre-construction meetings
* Ensure all submissions meet Australian Standards, client specifications, and safety requirements
* Maintain clear, detailed documentation for estimates and revisions
About You
You'll be successful in this role if you bring:
* Experience estimating commercial electrical projects valued $500K–$10M (junior applicants with strong potential encouraged to apply)
* Electrical trade qualification or Electrical Engineering degree
* Proficiency in SimPRO, GroundPlan, AGI‑32, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
* Solid understanding of Australian electrical codes, standards, and systems
* Strong analytical thinking, accuracy, and problem-solving ability
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work autonomously and thrive within a collaborative team
* Construction White Card and current Australian driver's licence

o Junior Estimators: $100,000 – $120,000 + Super
o Experienced Estimators: Negotiable based on capability
