GENERAL MANAGER - BDS MECHANICAL
Due to our recent expansion BDS Mechanical is currently looking for an experienced General Manager to provide support and advice to our Queensland branch managers. This position will require consistent travel to our workshops and will be required to help develop, maintain and improve our workshops with a hands on approach and pro-active demeanour. BDS Mechanical Repairs is a privately owned, growing business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 21 fixed workshop locations throughout Queensland. We have over 150 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland, meaning we’re never too far away.
The Job:
- Provide support and advice to branch managers
- Ensure processes and procedures are being implemented and maintained
- Develop, maintain and improve current business systems
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients
- Assist with human resource management and advice across various locations
- Monitor work flow, rosters and timesheets
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies
- Improving business operations and assisting with the opening of new branches
- Assisting workshops with their day to day management and safety practices
- Ensure customer satisfaction
Required skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in managing operational departments
- Strong demonstrated ability to be a dynamic, proactive leader
- Ability to influence and engage with both internal and external stakeholders
- Availability to frequently travel between sites
- Proficient computer skills
- Sound time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask
