Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Mentors. Specifically we are currently hiring a female based on the preferences of the clients requiring support for this role. In this role you will have the chance to be a positive influence in the lives of others, helping them achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. Key Responsibilities

• Provide one‐on‐one support to clients with disabilities and/or mental health disorders, tailored to their individual needs and goals.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including mainly social engagement, community participation, and personal care.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages independence and personal growth.
• Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized support plans.
• Engage in active support roles, which may require a certain level of physical stamina.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to client progress and activities.
• Use initiative to systematically break down broad goals into smaller achievable daily/weekly tasks.
• Be person focused, championing choice and control.

Required

• A genuine desire to help other people and make a positive impact.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications or training in disability support, first aid, and/or mental health (or willingness to obtain). Lived experience can also qualify.
• The role requires physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, transferring, and assisting clients with mobility, as well as the energy to participate in active support and community engagement.

Desired

• Experience in disability support, healthcare, or related fields.
• Qualifications in (or currently studying) Individual support, Psychology/Philosophy, Physio, Teaching etc.
• Lived experience.
