Job Overview
This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a high-achieving team in Western Australia, where you will be responsible for managing the running and client management of three wind farms in the region.
The role focuses on maximizing profitability in line with business objectives, ensuring Vestas HSE policies are effectively implemented at each Wind Farm site of responsibility. You will also deputize as Regional Service Manager (RSM) in the absence of the RSM.
* Lead and manage on-site service capabilities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and profitability across designated wind farms in the region.
* Develop strong customer relationships, drive service strategies, and support continuous improvement in collaboration with the RSM.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safety:
* Maintain a safe working environment; manage conflict where appropriate.
* Ensure Safety KPIs meet nominated targets.
* Develop a positive safety culture across all sites; participate in QSE meetings and ensure outcomes are rolled out.
* Ensure service and maintenance activities comply with HSE policies and procedures.
2. Personnel:
* Lead, manage, and supervise the Site Team; review and approve timesheets for all site personnel.
* Recruitment of service staff; regular Wind Farm site visits.
* Staff development, training planning, and implementation; CPD management of direct reports.
3. Customers:
* Maintain regular contact with customers and manage customer surveys to KPIs; provide accurate and timely reporting per service contracts.
* Attend customer meetings at agreed frequency; produce quotes in collaboration with the Service Sales team where applicable.
4. Financial and Administration:
* Monitor Actuals vs Budget; forecast cost expenditure and report to stakeholders.
* Assist the RSM with service contract billing plans (including annual CPI adjustments); identify potential risks.
5. Operational:
* Identify and mitigate operational risks; develop and implement operational plans in line with contracts and KPIs.
* Utilize SAP and SAP BI for forecasting and planning; select and monitor subcontractors; ensure appropriate staffing levels and competencies.
Qualifications and Skills
* At least 5 years of experience in a related field in a leadership role.
* A trade certificate in electrical or mechanical engineering (Preferred).
* Demonstrated leadership skills; strong verbal and written communication/negotiation.
* Relationship building, both internal and external; ability to work in high-stress situations.
* Commercial acumen; decision making; ability to prioritize tasks and stay well organized.
* Excellent computer literacy in SAP and MS Office; trouble shooting in high-pressure environments.
