Technical Services Specialist at The Computing Australia Group

Location: Remote (Full-Time)

Work Hours: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week

Experience Level: 1–2 years

Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Service Support Specialist to provide remote IT support, monitor NOC alerts, and assist with day-to-day technical operations. The role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, remote support tools, and a working knowledge of basic networking, Hyper-V, ESXi, and VMware environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of IT support experience who is eager to strengthen their skills in server, virtualization, and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

- Technical Services and Technical Support skills
- Solid Analytical Skills and Troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in managed IT services and customer service is a plus
- Relevant certifications in IT support or related fields are beneficial

Key Responsibilities

- Provide remote end-user support using remote software tools.
- Manage and resolve tickets via the service portal/ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and support Microsoft 365 applications and administration (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.).
- Handle Active Directory tasks (user account management, groups, permissions, policies).
- Perform basic network troubleshooting (VPN, IP/DNS issues, connectivity).
- Monitor and respond to NOC alerts, escalating incidents as needed.
- Provide first-level support for in-house servers and virtualization platforms.
- Assist with basic Hyper-V, ESXi, and VMware tasks.
- Document solutions and contribute to knowledge base updates.
