Case Support Workers provide quality administrative and client support assistance to assist in the delivery of statutory child protection services.
The Case Support Worker's key responsibilities are to:
* Ensure that service delivery is consistent with departmental policies and procedures and departmental objectives.
* Follow guidelines and implement processes in relation to records management, finance and other administrative and practice related policies and procedures.
* Provide culturally appropriate intervention and support to children, families and stakeholders including referral, provision of information, advocacy and consultation.
* Consult and liaise with relevant stakeholders and service providers to implement and maintain appropriate casework and individualised service plans to achieve positive outcomes.
* Participate effectively as a team member and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Prepare reports and maintain accessible and clear case records consistent with departmental case management requirements.
* Use, update and monitor relevant databases to support the case management functions of the Child Safety Service Centre.
* Develop and maintain knowledge relevant to the role and actively participate in appropriate learning and development processes.
