our role as a Pathology CourierA
s Pathology Courier, you will be responsible for the picking-up and transportation of Pathology Samples, Specimens, Blood/Blood Products X-rays and Vaccines, this could be across Medical Centres, Collection Centres, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, and Veterinarian Surgeries for delivery to Laboratories in various locations.Y
ou will be ensuring a safe and efficient process as you manage 30+ stops per day, playing a crucial part in providing quality health services to the people in our communities.Y
our key responsibilities will include:
P- ick-up and delivery of Pathology Samples, Specimens, Blood/Blood Products X-rays, Vaccines and clinical waste to and from referring customers
S- tores management for the community
L- iaising between Referring Medical Practitioners and the Medical Liaison Officer with regards to store orders
P- reparation and delivery of reports and stock control in main laboratory
M- aintaining patient confidentiality and integrity
G- P work
F- ollowing operating procedure to complete correct specimen coding documentation
C- ompliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Work Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance processes

bout you
V- alid open Australian driver's license with an excellent driving record
A- bility to work various shifts including rostered weekends and public holidays
G- reat interpersonal skills you will use to liaise with different stakeholders as well as strong written communication skills
E- xcellent time management skills, juggling up to 30 stops per day
P- hysical capability to be able to handle equipment weighing regularly up to 10kg -15kg
T- he ability to follow instructions and use initiative to make sound decisions
P- revious courier experience is considered highly advantageous
H- old a working with Children's Check or be willing to obtain one
Y- ou must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work
