The Role
As a Reliability Engineer, you will be instrumental in improving the reliability and performance of plant equipment and systems, particularly rotating machinery, within a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment. You will lead and support initiatives that minimise downtime, enhance safety, and optimise asset life-cycle performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement reliability strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) on equipment failures.
Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices, planning, and execution.
Work closely with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams to develop and refine maintenance strategies.
Champion reliability-focused KPIs related to availability, performance, and cost.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Provide technical expertise on rotating equipment including pumps, gearboxes, motors, and compressors.
Contribute to long-term asset planning and capital project development.
About You
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Proven experience in a reliability or maintenance engineering role within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with rotating equipment.
Sound understanding of reliability principles, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communicator who thrives in a cross-functional team environment.
