We're looking for an animal groomer to join our client's passionate team_
**Objectives of this Role**:
Deliver outstanding **customer service** to pet owners by executing style requests, communicating clearly and honestly, and bringing a positive attitude to work each day.
Provide **exemplary cosmetic care** for pets, being gentle and patient with anxious and difficult animals.
Protect the best interests of our customers and their pets, **notifying owners** of any concerns, including skin abnormalities, ear infections, ticks, and fleas.
Help our clientele continue to grow by forming **fruitful relationships** with customers that result in repeat visits
**Daily and Monthly Responsibilities**:
- Clean and freshen pet hair by washing, shampooing, and conditioning it
- Shave, trim, and style pet hair according to the owner's preferences
- Maintain overall pet hygiene by clipping nails, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears
- Keep a clean work station by sanitizing and sweeping before the arrival of each new client and at the end of each workday
- Advise owners on at-home care tips and best practices for their pets
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Comfortable working with animals, including anxious ones
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques on the job
- Practiced verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Demonstrated passion for animals
- Prior grooming experience (preferably X2 years)
- Experience working with animals in a professional or volunteer capacity
- Experience working in a customer service-oriented role

**The Place -** Whilst we are recruiting for the Rutherford location, the right groomer has the opportunity to also work from the Glendale location. Rutherford is BUSY, but if you would like to float between the two stores, that's definitely a possibility
**The Plus -** Groomers have a break even number per year, anything earnt above this where you earn commission. The best part? Our client knows that grooming needs may slow down during the cooler months, this is why the breakeven is not evenly spread throughout the year, but is weighted to be more over the warmer months and less over the cooler months, giving the groomer more security in the traditionally less busy time of the year.
