 
        
        Overview Head of Department Consultant - Obstetrician and Gynaecologist role at North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS). 
This is a Fixed Term Sessional appointment for 10 sessions per fortnight for up to 5 years with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.Join a multidisciplinary Maternal Fetal Medicine team at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) and contribute to high-quality, safe patient care while providing leadership, supervision and education to doctors in training and other health workers in collaboration with the Head of Department/Unit.Responsibilities Provide sub-specialist services in maternal-fetal medicine (if CMFM) and/or obstetrics (FRANZCOG), both medical and surgical. 
Promote patient quality and safety.Provide leadership, training, supervision and education within the department, in collaboration with other Consultants and the Head of Department/Unit.Work within the scope of clinical practice as defined by the Health Service Credentialing Committee.Fulfil certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine as required for clinical work within the department.Contribute to multidisciplinary maternal and fetal care, including ongoing pregnancy management.Qualifications and Requirements Certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine is required for clinical work within the department (as applicable).

The service provides care for women with various pregnancy and gynaecological conditions, with a maternity and gynaecology unit at Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) for low to moderate risk care.WWC Check and Eligibility This vacancy is subject to a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check.
