The Opportunity
This is a genuinely commercial role sitting at the heart of the business, partnering closely with buying, replenishment and category teams. You will be in the details of product, pricing and supplier performance, while also stepping back to influence strategy and direction. This position suits someone who enjoys being embedded in the commercial engine room, not sitting on the sidelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with buying and category teams to drive commercial outcomes
* Own and develop supplier and product level P&Ls
* Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across buying streams
* Provide insight on promotions, pricing and supplier negotiations
* Identify margin improvement and cost optimisation opportunities
* Support range optimisation, SKU rationalisation and product strategy
* Contribute to broader transformation and commercial initiatives
About You
* Proven experience partnering with merchandise or category teams
* Background in FMCG, food, retail or a product driven environment
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence non finance stakeholders
* Advanced modelling and analytical capability
* Comfortable operating in a fast paced, high volume business
* CA or CPA qualified or equivalent
