They celebrate the beauty of human-centered design through premium print, digital, editorial, video, and social content. They reach millions (yes, millions!) of people every month across digi and print platforms.
They're on the hunt for a super-talented Assistant Editor (is that you?!) to join their Sydney team! You'll work closely with the Editor and their commercial, digital, and content teams to develop and implement amazing content strategy. On a day-to-day basis, you'll be responsible for commissioning and editing written content for our website, print publication, and social media channels.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support the content workflow from brainwave to publication, making sure that content is spot-on, meets their style guide, and is delivered on time.
- Recruit and work with freelance and in-house writers to create original content that will blow their readers' minds.
- Edit content for accuracy, clarity, spelling, grammar, and SEO
- Build strong and positive relationships with their writers, giving constructive feedback, and keeping an eye on the whole gang.
- Work with their Partnerships Team and Partnerships Editor to come up with awesome and sponsored lifestyle content.
- Update their Editor and Director monthly with key metrics so we can all celebrate our achievements!
Essential Requirements:
- You're a language whizz, with skills in copywriting and editing to back it up
- You're passionate about digital and print media and have a killer understanding of all the major platforms.
- You're obsessed with organisation and time management, and are always ahead of the game.
- You love to take ownership of tasks and are confident when managing projects.
- You've got at least 2 years' experience in the field - whether that's working for a publication, agency, or client-side.
Highly Regarded:
- You have a qualification in editing
- You're an expert in InCopy, website CMS, and all things SEO.
- You're a design and architecture fiend, and you're always up on the latest lifestyle trends.
