Executive Sous Chef: Key to Culinary Excellence

The Executive Sous Chef is an integral part of this effort, overseeing multiple kitchen outlets and services while collaborating with the executive chef to conceptualize and implement new ideas. This individual must possess a unique blend of creativity, leadership skills, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain operational standards across all kitchen outlets and service formats.
* Support the executive chef and sous chefs in departmental management, team development, and daily operations.
* Ensure food safety and workplace safety in all food service areas.
* Develop and train staff on work planning, safety protocols, and health inspection guidelines.
* Maintain a positive team dynamic, prioritizing employee wellbeing and growth.
* Coordinate the launch of new outlets, particularly VIP experiences, to ensure seamless execution.
* Oversee daily activities in established outlets, driving efficiency and quality.
* Collaborate with the executive chef to set and achieve cost per head targets.
* Lead the hiring, development, and retention of food service staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
* 4+ years of industry experience; 6+ years preferred.
* 2+ years of experience in multi-outlet operations.
* Valid driver's license.
* Food Managers Certification.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Culinary degree preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
* Experience in corporate environments.
* High-volume cooking expertise.
* Leadership experience with teams of 20+ members.
* Advanced knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety procedures.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Renovation/construction experience in kitchen or dining areas.
* Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 25 lbs.) unassisted.
* Hold or obtain ServSafe or equivalent manager-level certification.
* Capacity to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).
* Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting required.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends.
* Participation in leadership and development training.
* Occasional travel may be required.
