Technical Writers
to support a high-profile federal government digital uplift initiative. These roles will play a critical part in documenting application modernisation activities, ensuring clarity, usability, and continuity across tech platforms as legacy systems transition to modern, secure environments.
This is an opportunity for detail-focused communicators who can translate complex ICT information into clear, accessible documentation for both technical and business users.
About the Opportunity
In this role, you will:
* Develop new and re-engineered documentation including user guides, training materials, system documentation, FAQs, and process workflows.
* Work closely with solution engineers, system analysts, UX specialists, SMEs, and project teams to ensure content accuracy and alignment.
* Support organisational readiness by preparing communication and user-adoption documentation.
* Align documentation deliverables to accessibility and government compliance standards (e.g., WCAG).
* Maintain structured documentation repositories and version control.
* Conduct periodic content reviews to ensure documentation remains current and relevant.
Skills & Experience Required
* Demonstrated
technical writing experience
, ideally within complex ICT or enterprise environments.
* Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement capability.
* High attention to detail and consistency in documentation output.
* Understanding of government standards, compliance, or governance frameworks.
* Active NV1 Security Clearance
(must be current).
Desirable Experience
* Experience supporting organisational change or user adoption.
* Understanding of
user-centred design
methods and content structuring.
* Experience documenting business processes, configurations, or workflows.
* Ability to simplify and communicate technical information effectively to non-technical audiences.
