**About the role**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and focused-driven House Supervisor, (midweek and weekends on a rotating roster) to manage and support our clients with disabilities and complex needs.
In the role of House Supervisor, you will be required to provide support and direction within a teamed environment and be responsible for overseeing the provision of quality care and day-to-day functionalities of the participants in line with our organisational values.
**Responsibilities of the role are**:
- Lead and plan support for people with disabilities to participate in a range of life areas based on their goals and support plans
- Advocate on behalf of clients and their families, to support inclusion, participation and respect for rights
- Administer medication treatments and therapies or seek appropriate medical assistance according to prescribed protocols
- Work to develop and maintain team morale and effectiveness and provide day-to-day mentoring and best practice knowledge
- Have experience within disability, including experience dealing with behaviours of concern
- Ensure all staff are familiar with each resident's support goals, and agreed plans are consistently implemented, monitored and reviewed with relevant internal and external staff
- Be strategic in your thinking about how to improve your service and contribute to changes that positively affect your service
- Update client care plans with new information as required
- Have the ability to adapt to various situations
- Liaise with client's family/guardian to ensure quality service delivery
- Prepare detailed reports as required
- Understand and follow internal and NDIS Quality and Safeguarding incident reporting requirements
- Reviewing client records for accuracy, providing training to relevant staff as required
- Provide 1:1 direct care assistance to each client in accordance with their care plan and as directed.
- **To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate**:_
- Be a natural influencer; who can demonstrate a positive attitude in supporting people with major behaviours of concern within a positive and therapeutic framework
- Have proven experience as a House Supervisor
- Be an articulate, clear communicator with a high level of literacy
- Have experience with complex behaviors and working with non-verbal clients
- Be self-motivated, well organised and resourceful.
- Possess a high level of integrity, passion and reliability
- An advocate for independence
- Rostering experience is highly desired
- **Prior to commencing the role, you will need to provide**:_
- Certificate IV or above in one of the following or equivalent: Individual Support/ Home & Community Care/ Aged Care/ Disability/ Nursing
- Valid CPR and First Aid certificates
- NDIS screening check clearance
- A current unrestricted Victorian Drivers License
- Satisfactory Working with Children's Check (Employee)
- Covid vaccination including booster.??
