Whether you are an experienced Paralegal or a Junior Lawyer, this role offers exposure to a broad range of banking and finance matters.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct legal research on banking and finance laws and regulations to support the team in providing accurate and up-to-date adviceAssist in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to banking and finance transactions, including loan agreements, mortgages and security documents and regulatory complianceBuild and maintain positive relationships with clients, providing legal support and assistance under the guidance of senior lawyers to settle filesUsing PEXA for streamlined and efficient electronic conveyancingContribute to due diligence processes, ensuring thorough examination of relevant legal aspects in banking and finance mattersManage and organise legal documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirementsWhat We're Looking ForParalegal candidates should ideally bring:1–2 years' paralegal experience (banking & finance preferred)Strong organisational skills and confidence in drafting and preparing accurate conveyancing documentation and correspondenceFamiliarity with PEXA and e-lodgement processesJunior Lawyer candidates should ideally bring:Admission as an Australian Legal Practitioner with 2–3 years' post admission experienceExperience in land title transactions, commercial leasing, residential and commercial property mattersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communicationAcross both roles, we value candidates who are:Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deadlinesPositive team players with the ability to work independently when requiredCommitted to maintaining high ethical and professional standardsWe OfferAt JHK Legal, we believe in creating a workplace where our team feels valued, supported and inspired.
