We are currently looking for a Project Civil / Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Engineer to join the Geo-Environmental Engineering Applied Solutions team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact civil and infrastructure projects across South Australia, with the opportunity to support projects around Australia.
* Oversee and manage construction projects, ensuring strict adherence to quality control and assurance standards.
* Lead site activities, supervise labour, equipment, and materials, and maintain rigorous safety and quality records.
* Support the preparation of construction plans, programs, tenders, and technical reports.
* Apply engineering techniques to analyse drawings, estimate costs, and drive cost control and budget management.
* Assist with data interpretation, analysis, and evaluation, and prepare specifications and quantities for review.
* Collaborate with project teams, communicate progress to senior engineers and managers, and contribute to project success.
* Deliver site-based solutions, including installation and commissioning of instrumentation equipment for mining and construction projects.
* Maintain and operate instrumentation and data logging systems, with opportunities to work on innovative technology (e.g., Campbell Scientific, telemetry systems).
This role will be primarily site-based work (mainly Western Australia with opportunities within Australia and New Zealand as they present) including different FIFO roster arrangements depending on the nature of the projects and the job requirements. Office-based work in Perth will also be required.
What you'll bring:
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or related discipline.
* Experience in medium to large civil infrastructure construction, with a focus on Quality Control and Assurance.
* Fieldwork experience in instrumentation/electronics or site-based engineering. Previous geotechnical instrumentation experience will be well-regarded but is not essential.
* Demonstrated technical expertise in data logging (Campbell Scientific preferred) and telemetry systems (IP/ Wireless/ radio/ satellite).
* Strong team player with excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
* Commitment to Occupational Health & Safety and a high level of attention to detail.
* Experience in earthworks and liner installation (desirable).
* Manual driver's licence and willingness to travel for FIFO assignments.
