We are currently recruiting for vacancies in Albury, Cootamundra, Deniliquin, Griffith, Leeton, Tumut, Wagga Wagga.

In this role, you will respond to reports concerning safety concerns for children or young people who may have been harmed.
What you’ll do
1. Work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children, or young people.
2. Collaborate with other agencies and engage in complex problem solving.
3. Assist families in setting goals that meet their needs, address safety and wellbeing concerns, and provide appropriate assistance through home visits.
4. Develop safety plans and complete risk assessments.
5. Manage cases involving high needs and high-risk clients and their families.
6. Participate in court processes, including preparing court documents and attending hearings.
7. Engage in individual and group supervision.
8. Make tough decisions when necessary to help families overcome hardships and develop safe, loving homes.
What we’re looking for
To be a Child Protection Caseworker, you need to be confident, curious, and resilient. The essential requirements include:
1. Currently completing or in your final semester of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Social Science, or Welfare, with practical experience. (If in final semester, you cannot commence until degree completion.)
2. Other related degrees considered if you can demonstrate relevant knowledge, skills, and experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
4. A valid driver’s license (P1 or above).
5. A current paid Working with Children clearance number.
