About The Role
As the Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Manage and coordinate high-quality advice and support from the Special Education and Early Childhood Development Programs.
* Lead and manage these programs, providing advice to classroom teachers for students with disabilities as needed.
* Offer high-quality advice to school leadership and staff to plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities.
* Coordinate and provide targeted teaching for students needing intervention.
* Provide and coordinate case management for students requiring significant adjustments.
* Support staff in accessing specialist services and professional development.
* Engage in school decision-making and professional development to contribute to school goals and vision.
* Implement and manage school-wide systems to monitor and record data on students with disabilities.
* Form partnerships with parents, government agencies, and community groups to support students with disabilities.
* Manage human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources to achieve goals.
