**The Role**
The Engineering and Logistics Unit within Heavy Air Lift Systems Program Office (HALSPO) is seeking an APS6 Logistics Performance Manager. This position is responsible for governance and assurance of complex logistics inventory management within an integrated workforce. The role focuses on compliance with legislative frameworks and Defence policy, contributing to government decision-making in accordance with Defence's mission and policy requirements.
You will:
- Provide policy advice in relation to enterprise partnerships whilst contributing to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.
- Be responsible for leading a small team, setting work priorities and managing workflows.
- Build team capability through coaching, feedback and developing the quality of work undertaken by others.
- Utilise excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to regularly liaise with Defence industry partners, military personnel and Senior Management.
- Liaise to promote business efficiency in relation to complex logistics issues, identifying and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
- Be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development of themselves and the team.
**About our Team**
The Heavy Air Lift Systems Program Office (HALSPO) at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Amberley is an important business unit within the Airlift and Tanker Systems branch of the Aerospace Systems Division.
HALSPO is the in-service support agency responsible for sustaining and enhancing the RAAF's KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport, C-17A Globemaster Heavy Lift Transport, Boeing Business Jet and Falcon 7X Special Purpose Aircraft capabilities for Air Force.
These fleets form the backbone of the Strategic Air Mobility capability within Defence and are utilised for roles ranging from humanitarian support to high-end operations.
