We are seeking a Accounts Payable Officer to provide support for our Finance Department.

This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Ballarat in line with our hybrid working model.

About the role

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

* Undertake accounts payable assessment and processing for delivery of accurate payment of creditor accounts within AV policies, procedures and delegations
* Act as a first point of contact for creditor queries, maintaining a high standard of customer service to enhance AV's reputation
* Maintain accurate records and maintain confidentiality of account details compliant with record management, data security and privacy legislation
* Ensure general ledger coding and other data for all invoices to be entered into Oracle Financials is accurate and if there are any discrepancies, resolve and amend where applicable
* Provide ad hoc Oracle reports, general administrative duties, ad hoc Reception support and other tasks as required

About you

To be considered for this position you will possess a certificate in Business/Finance or equivalent (desirable). Other requirements include:

* Experience working in an accounts payable department and competent at intermediate level in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
o Proven proficient accounts payable skills with an ability to meet performance output targets
o High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and quality control
* Professional and mature with sound judgement to ensure matters of a confidential or sensitive nature are handled appropriately and diplomatically
o Diligent with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Established problem solving skills to enable the identification of issues and the judgement to determine appropriate courses of action

This position is classified AV2 under the Ambulance Victoria (Management and Administrative Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2021
