Mining in Queensland is a busy and risky environment where danger is ever-present, and the need for on-site medical first responders is essential.
MSS Security is currently seeking dynamic, enthusiastic, and talented individuals to work as casual FIFO Paramedics (FIFO Casual Paramedic jobs (ESO) Queensland), on rotational rosters in the Queensland mining areas of the Mackay coalfields.
These opportunities include but are not limited to:
1. First response to emergency incidents
2. Participate and support FRT training on site
3. Support site HSE activities as required

The primary qualification required is the HLT51015 - Diploma of Paramedical Science, which is the highest level pre-hospital emergency health care qualification needed.
MSS often up-skills suitable ESO candidates to become truly 'mine-ready' emergency response personnel capable of responding to any emergency on site.

- 3-5 years mining industry experience
- 3-5 years clinical/industry paramedic experience
- Current competencies in emergency patient care and resuscitation
- Current Police Clearance
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
- Excellent personal presentation
- Ability to undertake FIFO rotational roster (12-hour day and night shifts)
- Ability to adhere to client fatigue management policies
- Sound computer skills - MS Word, Excel, etc.
- Active previous professional experience in emergency services (Fire Services, Defence Force, or Mines Rescue)
- Safety background or experience is highly regarded
