Role
The Administration Leader fulfils an important public relations and customer service function with core areas of responsibility including;
1. Executive Support & Public Relations
2. Human Resources
3. Finance
4. General Administration
5. Oversight and training of other school administration staff
It is important to note that in 2024 Yarrabing Secondary College will open with approximately 150 Yr 7 students and 15 staff. In the first year of the schools operations the Administration Leaders role is broad and will allow them to be competent in the management of the College’s office and completion of associated tasks, keeping in mind the schools small enrolment numbers. In 2024 it is anticipated that the Administration Team will consist of the Business Manager, Administration Leader and a School Support Officer. As the College grows, adding one year level each year, the administration team will continually grow, with new staff recruited and division of administration tasks. In future years the Administration Leader will provide leadership to the administration team and oversight of tasks listed in the typical functions of this role.
The Administration Leader will be flexible, competent, and approachable to all members of the school community. It is expected that they will provide a high level of customer service to the student body, staff and visitors to the College and be competent in the provision of up to date and relevant information. The Administration Leader is also responsible for maintaining and inputting accurate data for reporting to staff, School Council and Leadership teams. Accurate data recording is important as it reflects in the provision of information and reports to Families, Staff, School Council and the Community.
A professional image is the impact Yarrabing Secondary College is aiming to achieve at all times. Adhering to the College’s dress code policy and wearing appropriate business casual will be required in the school office. The College will follow a strict style guide for the development and publication of correspondence, the Administration Leader will play a key role in its implementation and monitoring to ensure a consistent presentation of all school documents. It is important the Administration Leader operates in a consistent, professional, courteous, efficient manner at all times.
The Administration Leader supports the Business Manager with the implementation of financial, human resources and administrative services.
