Offer description

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will be part of a team that plays a vital role in helping military personnel regain their health and fitness.

* You will work closely with healthcare professionals to develop personalized return-to-work plans for service members who have suffered injuries or illnesses.
* Your nursing expertise will enable you to facilitate a smooth transition back to duty, ensuring our ADF personnel achieve specific health goals.
* You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including medical specialists, treatment providers, and allied health professionals, to provide comprehensive support throughout the rehabilitation journey.

This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of our service members. Unlike many other roles, your performance will be measured by real outcomes, not billable hours.

You will enjoy a healthy work-life balance, with set working hours (7:30am - 3:30pm) and no overtime required. You will be working on-base at RAAF Base Richmond.

We are committed to supporting and mentoring you through direct interaction and an extensive onboarding process, which includes ongoing shadowing. This will equip you with the necessary technical knowledge and expertise to excel in this role.

To succeed in this position:

* You must have current unrestricted registration or membership with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* Tertiary qualifications in Nursing are also essential.
* Critical skills include case management, professional documentation, report writing, strong clinical reasoning, and the ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams.
* A passion for helping people rehabilitate is crucial.

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists, Rehabilitation Counsellors, Osteopaths, or Social Workers with appropriate professional registration.

We value equality, diversity, and inclusivity and are committed to creating a workplace that respects and celebrates individual differences.
